WELCOME TO OLD STATIONERS' FOOTBALL CLUB |
|
PRE-SEASON TRAINING!! |
Fellow athletes, we've seen mid-summer's day come and go and
our thoughts should now begin to turn to the the start of the
2010/11 football season!!!!
I know it's early, but don't leave until September to brush
off the cobwebs and shake off the World Cup blues, start now,
shed those excess pounds, get out in the fresh air and lets
hit the ground running.
Pre season training for ALL players from ALL XIs will start
on Sunday 18th July at the club from 11am
(until about 1pm) and continue every Sunday until the start
of the season. Tell team mates, tell friends, use the opportunity
to introduce new players but most of all get yourself there.

4thXI add to season's haul of silverware! |
|
Congratulations to the 4th
XI on winning their league and for doing so with
an incredible 13 game winning streak which saw them storm
up the table to finish with an impressive 48 points, 12
ahead of their nearest rivals.
Co-captain Gilly proceeded to do
what he does best and who's to deny he didn't deserve
that one.

| 3rdXI
win AFA Cup final thriller |
Congratulations to the
3rdXI who won the AFA Cup beating Nottsborough
in a dramatic final played at HSBC's ground in New Beckenham. We
were 1-0 down with less than 10 minutes to go when we were awarded
a penalty. Duly converted by Stephen Hockley to equalise, Karim
Essiaghi then scored the winner in time added on!

| More
success as 3rd XI win cup double |
Congratulations, again,
to the magnificent 3s on their fantastic achievement in winning
their second cup on successive Saturdays. A strong all-round display
from start to finish saw them run out deserving winners over Old
Salesians on a 3-0 scoreline in the Old Boys final. Great credit
goes to all those involved with the team but especially to Mickey
Byrne for organising and managing the whole operation.
