Report: A disappointing result, although the extreme weather rather than lack of effort or ability contributed to what was a real lottery. A gale force wind made playing conditions difficult to say the least, unfortunately having played with the wind in the first half and failed to score the second period was always going to be a struggle. Once Lyons had taken the lead 10 mins after the break we had a mountain to climb. However during the next 20 mins we fought back against the elements and crafted a well worked equaliser, Lambe's excellent pass inside their full back allowed Codd to run on and deliver a pin point cross for Anthony to volley home from close range (Lambe followed by Codd looks like something off the "Specials Board"!) . During this period we also had a couple of good opportunities to take the lead but failed to take advantage and when Lyons grabbed their second we were doomed. They added a third towards the end of the game and we were left to rue our lack of goals when we had the wind advantage in the first half.

Report: Great performance from all concerned in awful conditions. Both sides to their credit tried to play football but the wind at times bossed the game. We did well to turn around against the wind at 2-2 and even then we gifted the oppo one of the their goals. At the other end Stocking had struck a beauty to open the scoring. The second half was pretty much one-way traffic and with a little patience we scored at regular intervals with the pick of the bunch split between quality strikes from Arturo and debutant Adam Severn. Oh yeh and the skipper scored again (4 in 4) !!
