Saturday 20th November 2021

Restful weekend for our first XI with no game - but ready to tackle Merton when we play them away next Saturday 27th Nov, KO 2pm. It's such a tight league this year that a win could move us up significantly in the table.

Saturday 13th November 2021

A very tight game at home v The Warren ended in a 1-0 defeat. Turning round at 0-0 we fell victim to a 59th minute strike and couldn't find an equaliser. No game next weekend (Sat 20th).

Thursday 20th May 2021 - Gordon Rose

It is with great sadness that we have to report that Gordon Rose passed away on the 18th May aged 88. Gordon was OSFC’s Honorary President having had a long, distinguished and influential association with the Football Club. To a certain generation Gordon was ‘Mr Old Stationers’.
He was a player, rejoining Stationers in the late 1960s skippering the 4th XI for five seasons having also played previously for number of years at Westminster Bank where he worked (never a bad move to progress your career!)
Gordon became Chairman of OSFC in 1973/74, a role he held for more than 20 years before becoming Honorary President. He also Managed the 1st XI for 10 years from 1980. During that period the 1st XI won the SAL Senior 3rd Division in 1981/82 followed by 2nd Division Title in 1983/84 and in 1988/89 won the AFA Senior Cup, for the only time in the club’s history, together with the Old Boys Senior Cup and promotion again to the SAL Snr Division 1.
Gordon will be remembered for his tremendous work and dedication to the club during a period when OSFC ran 9 teams, for his humour and larger than life personality. He made an impression on all who knew him and will be sadly missed by all at OSFC and by many friends in AFA/SAL football. RIP Rosie.

Saturday 1st May 2021

A 1:1 draw at APs today in a tight contest on their infamous sloping pitch. The lads had a potential winner ruled out for hand ball in the build up so unlucky not to win. Good performance to end this unusual season.

Tuesday 27th April 2021

The club is remembering Bruce Donaldson today. Rest easy Bruce.

Saturday 24th April 2021

Old Garchonians beat us 2-1 this weekend.

Sunday 21st February 2021

Message from Jill Parkinson to Old Stationers wherever you may be: "I am sorry to bring you the news that my father Ken Rickards died peacefully at his home in Usk on Thursday 28th January at the great age of 100. Being so long ago, I doubt many will remember him, but he attended the Stationers Company School from 1930-37 and played for the Old Stationers FC after the war; he often used to regale us with tales of his time with the club and liked to check on how you were doing now. I know he would want to wish the current members well." Thanks for getting in touch Jill and know that the club are sorry for your loss.

Saturday 6th February 2021

Hope all are safe and well during this current lockdown. As you might expect there is no news of any football for the SAL as yet. One day at a time...

Monday 4th January 2021

Happy New Year to all members, players, supporters and officials of the club. No games planned as yet during this lockdown period. Hang in there everybody.

Saturday 19th December 2020

Honours even against the Vampires today as we shared six goals in a 3-3 draw. And that's it for 2020! Be safe, be well and see you in 2021.

Boxing Day
Not unexpectedly due to the current restrictions, it has been decided that the traditional two friendly Boxing Day games against Old Finchleians will unfortunately not go ahead this year.

Saturday 12th December 2020

Our Bank of England game is POSTPONED today due to a waterlogged pitch.

Saturday 5th December 2020

The weather was kind to us, enabling the 1st XI to get going again against HSBC. However the oppo weren't so generous, and we ended up losing 2-1. Good to have some football though!

Tuesday 3rd November 2020

The League is suspended until at least the end of the current lockdown period. No games will be played until December 5th at the earliest.

Saturday 31st October 2020

Due to waterlogged pitches at our home ground we switched the Oilers game to The Hive and ended up winning 3-2 against the current table-toppers. Kudos to the lads and thanks to the Oilers for ensuring the game went ahead. Keep your eye on the website for a Lockdown update.

Saturday 24th October 2020

Defeat in our League Cup fixture at HSBC by three goals to one at the weekend.

Saturday 17th October 2020

We lost 3-1 down at Merton this Saturday on a bit of a gloomy day. Brighter times ahead.

Saturday 10th October 2020

The 1st XI bagged a great league win in a tight match against Old Finchleians. 1-0 was the final score and we move up a few places in the table. It was pleasing to get the points as Finchley had a 100% record up until this weekend.

Saturday 3rd October 2020

The Old Boys Cup foray ended in defeat by the slimmest of margins  against Old Brentwoods from the Arthurian League, with our lads losing 3-2. Apres le deluge (and all that...)

Saturday 19th September 2020

Our first home game ended in a 2-1 defeat to early table table-toppers Civil Service.

Saturday 12th September 2020

The 1st XI kicked off their season away v Old Garchonians and ended up on the wrong side of a 4-0 defeat. The game was fairly even for an hour and we were unfortunate to be 0-1 down at half time. Having conceded a second halfway through the 2nd half we struggled a bit in the final quarter. Civil Service next week in our first home game of the season.

COVID measures will be in effect during the season and we will aim to communicate these via our club channels. For spectators wishing to attend games social distancing measures should be embraced, and you can expect to give your contact details to a club official in case they need to get hold of you should a COVID case be suspected at any particular game. Strange times but very encouraging to know our lads will be back to playing football soon and we wish them well. Also big thanks to Ian Meyrick and the team of officials who run the club for their work during this time.

Saturday 22nd August 2020

Good result and decent pre-season workout for the 1st XI who beat Tansley FC 5-1 away this weekend. Keep an eye out for more friendlies on the website and via Twitter.

Tuesday 18th August 2020

We're BACK! The 1st XI played their first meaningful game in many months last week in the Goulding Cup against local rivals Crouch End Vampires. It was a 1-1 draw so penalties were required and we lost 4-5. But regardless it is good to report on something "normal" in these troubling times. There is a friendly this weekend against Tansley FC who joined the SAL in 2017 but who have been around since 1897!

Monday 4th May 2020 - Bruce Donaldson
We are sad to announce that we have recently lost a much loved member of the Old Stationers FC family. Bruce was a long standing member of the club, serving as a player, (including spells as captain of 6th, 7th and 8th XIs, winning the AFA Junior Novets Cup,
Old Boys Cup and the League in 1988/89) & more recently as a regular supporter of the 1st XI. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with Chris, family & all his many friends. RIP Bruce.

Saturday 11th Apr 2020

Southern Amateur League (SAL) announcement:
Season 2019/20 is declared null & void following a vote by member clubs. This means results are expunged without promotion or relegation occurring. At some point we will be able to play football again but until then take care of yourself and your families.

Saturday 7th Mar 2020

Saturday 29th Feb 2020

Game against the Oilers is OFF - waterlogged pitch. No surprise given the current weather patterns.

Saturday 15th Feb 2020

A devastating loss at Vampires by 6-0 for our lads means it will take something special to avoid the drop this season.

Saturday 8th Feb 2020

A 3-1 defeat to Finchley sees our 1st XI firmly rooted at the foot of Division 2. That makes next weeks' game at Vampires even more important than usual.

Saturday 25th Jan 2020

No joy this time against Civil Service who beat us 4-0.  It has been a tough season following our promotion to Division 2 but one can't fault the effort of everyone in the team.

Saturday 18th Jan 2020

Lots of goals this time v Carshalton after our 0-0 draw earlier in the season, but unfortunately they got more than us.  On to better things next week at home to Civil Service.

Saturday 4th Jan 2020

Great start to 2020 for the 1st XI who shared the spoils with table-topping Bank of England in a 2-2 draw.

Saturday 28th Dec 2019

No game this Saturday so that's it for 2019.  See you on 4th January.

Boxing Day 2019

Congrats to the "Younger XI" who beat Finchley on Boxing Day, although the spoils belonged to the home club in the end on aggregate after their "Older" side beat our bunch of Gerry Hat-Tricks. Winning the raffle didn't influence the overall standings apparently.  THANK YOU to all at Old Finchleians for being such great hosts.

Saturday 14th Dec 2019

Many congratulations to the 1st XI who beat Civil Service 3-1 away this Saturday. Next stop - Boxing Day at Finchley!

Saturday 7th Dec 2019

Spoils shared in the North London derby this weekend against our old friends from Finchley.

We were outgunned by League Cup foes Garchonians at home this weekend. Probably a result best forgotten.

Saturday 26th Oct 2019

AFA Cup defeat for the 1st XI to Cambridge Heath at our home ground this weekend. We turn our attention to the League Cup next week when we take on Old Garchonians at Mays Lane.

Saturday 19th Oct 2019

It was a tight game but still no joy for the 1st XI in our home game v Vampires. A 3-2 defeat on a soggy pitch leaves us hoping for brighter times next weekend when we take on Cambridge Heath in the AFA Cup.

Saturday 12th Oct 2019

This Saturday's clash at home to Carshalton ended all square with neither side able to register a goal. On the plus side it was our annual get together for ex-players who braved the rain and occupied the bar.

Saturday 5th Oct 2019

Tight game at NUFC Oilers this weekend which ended in a 2-1 defeat for the 1st XI.

Saturday 28th Sept 2019

Bad day at the office as our 1st XI lost 5-2 to Merton at our place this weekend.

Saturday 21st Sept 2019

A 3-0 defeat in the OB Cup at Old Owens means it's back to league action next weekend at home for our first game of the season at our place.

Saturday 14th Sept 2019

Difficult start to the season for the 1st XI who went down 3-0 to Alexandra Park. But it's early days of course.

Below is a reminder of the awards from 2018/19 campaign.

Saturday 6th April 2019

A 2-0 victory against a good Warren side sees our 1st XI gain promotion!  Congratulations to all involved and have a fantastic weekend.

Saturday 30th March 2019

On a sunny afternoon on the Hackney Marshes our 1st XI won 3-1 against AFC Oldsmiths, meaning they need one more victory in their final game of the season next weekend at home versus the Warren to ensure promotion.  Good luck lads. It's in your hands.

Saturday 23rd March 2019

Defeat at home to CEV means our 1st XI require two wins from their final two games to ensure promotion. These games are against Oldsmiths and the Warren.

Saturday 16th March 2019

No game again this weekend - next fixture tbd but in principle will be at home to Crouch End Vampires.  The lads require two wins from their final three fixtures to guarantee promotion.

Saturday 9th March 2019

No game this weekend - final 3 matches of the season begin on 16th March.  Huge run-in for the lads as they focus on promotion.

Saturday 2nd March 2019

Big win this weekend by 1-0 at Weirside. The lads are now 2 points clear of South Bank CUACO with 3 games left to play.  Promotion was and remains the goal for this season. Very exciting times for the 1st XI, albeit somewhat tempered by the injury to Jacko on Saturday.

Saturday 23rd February 2019

It was worth waiting for!  Great victory by the lads at Lyonians by 2 goals to 1.  Keeps our 1st XI in the hunt for promotion.  We're neck and neck with South Bank CUACO with four games left to play. Very exciting.

Saturday 2nd February 2019

Old Lyonians game is OFF this weekend due to unplayable pitch.

Saturday 26th January 2019

Another big win for the 1st XI at home game against Lyonians.  Promotion remains on track for the lads.

Saturday 19th January 2019

A great result for our lads at Kew this weekend - their 3-1 victory keeps them up near the top of the table and in the promotion hunt. It's going to be tough but the 1st XI has shown they have the quality and the spirit to be successful this year.

Saturday 12th January 2019

Great win for our boys at promotion rivals Old Blues. Match report available!

Saturday 5th January 2019

Tough start to the new year for the 1st XI, going down 5-1 at South Bank CUACO.

Boxing Day (Wed 26th Dec 2018)

Honours even today as our veterans XI (with a little help from Tony Theodoulou's teenage sons!) won 4-2 in a thrilling match on a muddy pitch, whilst our younger XI went down 7-5 in a festive encounter. A Glen Hoddle special from Jacques Toumany sealed the win for the vets and it was a goal to savour.  Thanks to our friends at Finchley as always for being magnificent hosts. Photos and report here MATCH REPORT

Saturday 15th December 2018

A brilliant 4-0 win in the last league fixture before 2019 for our 1st XI against Cambridge Heath. Congratulations to the lads who have had a great first half of the season, lying in 3rd place in the table. All eyes on Boxing Day now (see below for details).

Saturday 8th December 2018

Tough fixture against table-toppers Vampires and no points for our lads this weekend.

Saturday 1st December 2018

What a cup tie!  Goals galore and in the end our lads went out 4-3 to 1st Division heavyweights West Wickham. So ultimately no giant killing but a great effort by the 1st XI nonetheless.

Saturday 17th November 2018

Kew Association were beaten 3-0 at our Mays Lane ground this weekend, maintaining the 1st XI's very strong start to the season. They sit in second place in the table - see link opposite if you want to peruse.

Saturday 10th November 2018

It was Cambridge Heath again, but this time in a league fixture and away at Hackney Marshes. The lads came away with a draw after a strongly contested match.

Saturday 27th October 2018

The 1s were beaten for the first time this season in the league on Saturday but maintain 2nd place in the table.

Saturday 20th October 2018

Congratulations to the 1st XI who won 1-0 in the AFA Cup today against a decent Cambridge Heath side.  Watched by 40-50 former players the lads put on a composed and intelligent display, bagging the winning goal with around 15 minutes of the match left. To see photos of the Ex-Players Re-Union Day CLICK HERE.

Saturday 13th October 2018

The 1st XI were down at Old Carthusians this weekend. Despite a spirited performance the lads lost 2-1. More cup action next weekend in the AFA Cup when we host our annual ex-players re-union day.

Saturday 6th October 2018

Another good day for the 1st XI who continued their unbeaten start to the season in Division 3 with a 2-0 victory over Weirside Rangers.

Saturday 29th September 2018

The 1st XI maintained their unbeaten start to the League season with a 1-1 draw at the Warren.  The lads are a creditable second in the table.

Saturday 22nd September 2018

Home game this weekend against South Bank CUACO saw the 1st XI come out on top in a 7-goal thriller in the rain.  Great result lads.

Saturday 15th September 2018

Tight encounter in the SAL Cup this weekend for the 1st XI who ended up losing 2-1 after extra time at Old Blues.

Saturday 8th September 2018

A great start to the league season for the 1st XI as they put four past Oldsmiths this weekend.

5th September 2018

Congratulations to Crouch End Vampires on winning the Goulding Cup at the weekend.  Our lads found the pitch hard and the oppo even harder on the day!

18th August 2018

A good day at the office for the 1st XI against Old Owens at our home ground this weekend - it's always about match fitness and getting into the football groove at this point in the year but nonetheless a win is also good for morale and the 4-0 victory will help build confidence as we head into the season proper. Goals came from Ansell, Smith, Elsey & Derrick.  Next up - the traditional pre-season Goulding Cup at Vampires.

12th May 2018

So... the season comes to an end with an unbeaten away double-header for our 1s at Weirside Rangers down in Teddington.  The 3s ended their campaign at home to Broomfield, losing heavily I'm sad to report.

8th May 2018

A great win for our 1st XI at home to Broomfield in their evening kick off.  That is our final home game for the top team.

5th May 2018

A draw for our 1st XI at Carshalton this weekend - a decent result given the heat which always causes problems for players. Final round of fixtures is next Saturday 12th May for both sides although meantime our 1s are in action on Tuesday evening, 6pm KO at home to Broomfield.

21st April 2018

A 1-0 win for the 1st XI (are they Arsenal in disguise ?) on London marathon weekend.  Good stuff lads.

7th April 2018

1st XI game postponed.

3rd XI got thumped at Lyonians.

Sunday 25th March 2018

The famous Mega Vets took on Old Finchleians in a friendly.  Too old, too slow etc etc.. Thanks to all that turned out and thanks to John & Fred from OFFC who helped us out when injuries took their toll on our highly tuned athletes. 9 v 10 at the end tells the story. Oh, and the 4-0 scoreline in favour of OFFC.

17th March 2018

The beast from the East struck our 3rd XI as we went down heavily to Parkonians.  1st XI game was postponed due to the state of our pitches.

10th March 2018

A very good point away from home against 2nd placed Cambridge Heath for the first eleven this weekend on no doubt marshy Hackney Marshes.

3rd March 2018

Probably no surprise but both games are OFF this weekend. The snow and freezing temperatures have taken their toll on the pitches. Even Lev Yashin would have struggled in this weather.

Dickie Rundle (1927-2018)

We are sad to announce the passing of Dickie Rundle on Saturday 17th February at the age of 90.

Dickie was a true stalwart of Old Stationers FC from the early 50s onwards. He was 1st XI captain for 3 seasons (1951/52-1953/54) and led the side to our first 3rd Division Senior SAL Title in 1952/53. He served as Hon Secretary from 1956/57-1960/61 and then as Club President from 1976 to 1994.

Dickie was one of life's great administrators, he served on the SAL Committee for many years having joined in 1960. From 1967 until 1986 he held the office of Vice-Chairman of the SAL Committee and in 1987 he was elected Vice President of the SAL.

Friends and colleagues will recall his infectious enthusiasm and cheery demeanour which will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with Dickie's family and friends at this sad time.

24th February 2018

No points this weekend.

17th February 2018

Defeat for our 1st XI against League newcomers Cambridge Heath on our only playable pitch after the rains of recent days.  Our 3rd XI fixture had to be postponed due to the waterlogging.  Plus ca change... or maybe that should be "pluie" ca change...

3rd February 2018

Our 3rd XI battled valiantly at Winchmore Hill on a gloomy and sodden day but left the Paulin Ground with no points after a 3-1 defeat.  1st XI game was postponed v Cambridge Heath.

27th January 2018

The 1st XI shared the spoils at Oldsmiths down in Sidcup this weekend, and our 3rd XI lost in a tight encounter against Old Owens.

13th January 2018

Away games for 1st and 3rd XI this weekend.  The 1st XI left south London empty handed after defeat at CUACO and the 3rd XI shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw at Alexandra Park.

6th January 2018

Welcome to 2018. The league resumed after our winter break and our 3rd XI were away against old foes Parkonians, where they were beaten 4-1. 1st XI match was waterlogged off.  Hoping for some dry weather now ready for next weekend.

Boxing Day (Tuesday 26th Dec)

Our annual friendly with our friends at Old Finchleians today ended with defeat for our "oldies" team, and a creditable draw for the younger ones.  This year, to mark the passing of a football legend and friend of both clubs, a new trophy was inaugurated - The Taffy Evans Cup.  Taffy was an Old Finchleians stalwart and sadly died a few months ago at the age of 86.  Congrats to Finchleians on winning the trophy - but rest assured we will be out for revenge in 2018!

16th December 2017

Final League game of 2017 ended all square for the 1st XI at Broomfield this weekend.

9th December 2017

On what felt like the first proper winter's day of the season the 1st XI were up against strong opposition in top flight Bank of England and were narrowly beaten in the Senior Cup.  Very bad day at the office for the 3rd XI against Winchmore Hill.

2nd December 2017

Tough games for the 1st and 3rd XI. Both sides lost and can only look forward to next weekend now when it is to be hoped everyone sees a change of fortune.

25th November 2017

1st XI went down at home in the League to Oldsmiths this weekend - already looking forward to the next game now as the winter chill sets in.

4th November 2017

The 1st XI recorded a thoroughly deserved 3-0 victory at Old Blues this weekend in the Senior Cup, taking the lead just before half time, and completing the scoring late in the second half with two finely taken goals.  A great team effort and a composed performance from all involved.  Particularly fine contribution from our Harry Kane in Marcus up front who gave the oppo nightmares!

Decent point away for the 3s at Alexandra Park.  Well done lads.

28th October 2017

Was a big ask for our 1st XI in the AFA Cup against 1st Division East Barnet and they should get credit for keeping the game tight, ultimately going down 4-2. The 3rd XI bagged all three points at home in the League against Lyonians which will set them up nicely for next weekend.

21st October 2017

Tight games today with both our 1st and 3rd XIs going down by the odd goal. Recent performances have been good so despite the results we can look forward with confidence.

14th October 2017

We knew it was a big ask for our 1st XI in the Old Boys Cup against Division 1 high-flyers Parkonians and so it proved as they went down 4-1 in the end. I hope to add a more detailed match report later this week but for now here are the words of Ian Meyrick who was on the touchline at the weekend:

"For those that didn't attend the 1st XI OB Cup match, I feel I should mention the tremendous effort the players put in against an Old Parks team who are currently one of the front runners in the 1st Division. The 4-1 victory for Parks was very flattering to them to say the least, their last 2 goals came in the last 2 minutes when we were pressing for an equaliser. Indeed at 1-1 we were looking the more likely team to score, but unfortunately the ball just wouldn't fall for us. We all know some scorelines can appear unkind and this was certainly one of them!"

Tough day at the office also for our 3rd XI against a strong Owens team.  The 1st XI in particular have been on a good run recently so let's put today behind us and get back to winning ways next weekend.

Annual OSFC Ex-Players Reunion Day

Saturday 7th October 2017

It was good to see many former players at the club this Saturday, remembering old times & enjoying the 1st XI victory on the main pitch. Click here to see some photos.

30th September 2017

All three teams were in action this weekend and it was a goal fest at Mays Lane.  The 1st XI took a point in a 2-2 draw with Carshalton, whilst the 2s and 3s were involved in high scoring defeats, with the 3s in particular unlucky to lose by the odd goal in 11!

23rd September 2017

Great cup win for the 1st XI against Old Blues, with our boys running out 4-2 winners and through to the next round.  Tough day for the 3s who went down to a strong Parkonians team.

16th September 2017

1st XI got a great win at Kew, knocking five past the oppo this weekend.  Well done guys.  And our 3s got their season started with a decent draw at Broomfield.

9th September 2017

The big kick off was a big kick in the teeth for our boys as all three teams were beaten.  Early days though and it usually takes a while for each team to settle.  Better days ahead.

12th July 2017

Ian Meyrick and Bill Martindale took part in a walking football tournament organised by the Middlesex FA last week, winning 4 out of 5 games and helping raise funds and awareness for the Bobby Moore fund.  Luther Blissett was in attendance.  According to Ian, “most of my team mates felt that I played walking football throughout my playing days so it was easy to adapt!”

Saturday 20th May 2017

That's it - the season is over! Thanks to all club officials and team captains for their efforts during the campaign, and in particular kudos to Mike Kassie and Liam Gallagher for their huge contributions behind the scenes to ensure the club kept running smoothly.

Saturday 6th May 2017

You can tell it is near the end of the season when you are playing alongside a backdrop of cricket whites!  Such was the case this weekend at Mays Lane. Encouraging win for the 1st XI at Old Blues, coming out on top in a game of seven goals. And a good and disciplined performance, capped by some quality goals from our 3rd XI, winning both their games in the double-header against Parkonians.  In doing so they ensured they remain in their division for next season.

Saturday 29th April 2017

Nearing the end of the season now - our 1st XI hit a hatful against Salesians and have only 2 games left now, as do our 3rd XI who still have Parkonians in their sights.

Saturday 22nd April 2017

Our 3rd XI lost 4-0 to Old Parkonians this weekend in one of the few remaining games of the season.

Saturday 15th April 2017

Chocolates all round for the 1st XI who had a convincing win at Oldsmiths.  Well done lads. Enjoy the rest of the Easter break all.

Tuesday 11th April 2017

The first evening game of the season ended in defeat for our 1st XI.

Saturday 8th April 2017

No points for the club this weekend as we lost both our home games, the 1s by the odd goal in nine, and the 3s found it tough going against their division champions EBOG.

Saturday 1st April 2017

Our 1st XI went down 2-1 at promotion chasing Carshalton, so a decent performance if not maybe getting the result they deserved.  2nd XI came away with no points from Broomfield.

Saturday 25th March 2017

Double header for the 1st XI away at Kew this weekend, and 6 points taken.  Good job lads. 2nd XI lost by the odd goal in seven at Broomfield.

Saturday 18th March 2017

Our only game this weekend featured the 3rd XI at home to Alexandra Park where it ended all square.  Lots of goals, 3-3 being the final score.

Saturday 11th March 2017

Good results for the 2nd and 3rd XIs with their wins today as well as clean sheets.  Your housekeepers would be proud of you.  The 1st XI were on the wrong end of a strong performance by Lyonians.  Next week lads.

Saturday 4th March 2017

Only the 3s were in action this weekend, away at Finchley, and they took a point in a 4-4 draw.

Saturday 25th February 2017

No points this weekend but not for want of trying. The 1st XI lost 3-2 and the 2nd XI went down 4-3 so lots of goals and close games.  3rd XI beaten by a strong EBOG team who are champions-elect of their Division after a storming season so far.

Saturday 18th February 2017

No fixture for the 1st XI this weekend but our 2s have taken all the points in a 7-goal thriller and likewise our 3s were victorious against our friends from Finchley. Well done all.

Saturday 11th February 2017

Defeats for the 1s and 3s this weekend in their tough away fixtures, and with our 2s game off due to the waterlogged pitch it was "nul points" for the club I'm afraid.

Saturday 4th February 2017

Onion bag duly filled by both 2s and 3s in their respective games with a win for the Reserves and a draw for the 3s.

Saturday 28th January 2017

1st XI put in a super hardworking performance against table topping Norsemen, our lads playing most of the game with 9 men.  Early in the second half Mark Smith brought us level to 1:1 but in the end weary legs told and the oppo got behind our defence on a couple of occasions to net.  The indefatigable Marcus scored our second goal after rounding their keeper.

Saturday 14th January 2017

Great win for the reserves at Norsemen who were second in the table at start of play. Tough luck for the 1st XI who went down 2-0 at Old Blues.

Saturday 7th January 2017

A new year - a new hope.  Happy New Year to all club members and officials, and also to all the other clubs in the SAL.  2s went down 4-3 at home to Broomfield and the 3s trip to EBOG was postponed so a quiet start to 2017, with it being a rest day for the 1st XI.

Boxing Day - Monday 26th December 2016

Our younger team ran out convincing winners on a beautiful Boxing Day against our friends from Finchley.  On the main pitch our slightly older squad found the opposition and the slope harder work and, after initially dominating the opening minutes, we fell further and further behind to a good passing team in the Finchley vets.  On a more positive note we appeared to win the raffle in the bar afterwards.

Saturday 17th December 2016

Final game this calendar year ended all square for the 1st XI at home to Lyonians.  The SAL season resumes on 7th January 2017, but if you're missing footie remember the Boxing Day fixtures.

Saturday 10th December 2016

All eyes were on the 1st XI today in our only fixture and the lads did the club proud with a fantastic 4-3 victory over Kew who had lost only one other League game this season.  Bravo!

Saturday 3rd December 2016

We ended up with only our 1st XI in action this weekend and they had a tough time down at Oldsmiths.

Saturday 26th November 2016

A bit of everything this weekend, with our 2s winning a tight game 3-2 against rivals Finchley, our 1s going down 3-1 at Broomfield and the 3s sharing the spoils 2-2 with Vampires.

Saturday 19th November 2016

No points this weekend for our teams although Spurs beat West Ham so there was some good news (unless you are Ian Meyrick of course... sorry Ian!!)

Saturday 12th November 2016

Goals galore this weekend, particularly in the 3rd XI game but unfortunately none of our teams finished ahead at the final whistle.  It was hard luck for the 1st XI who gave table-topping Norsemen their toughest game of the season, and ended up losing by the odd goal in five.

Saturday 5th November 2016

Great result for the 1st XI with an 8-0 thrashing of Salesians. Well done lads. Goals flowed in the 3rd XI fixture too, with Mike D's boys sharing the spoils in a 3-3 thriller.

Saturday 29th October 2016

A good day for the 2s and 3s who both won in their respective league games, and they matched each other with a 1-goal margin of victory in tight encounters.  1st XI lost against Oldsmiths and are still looking to find their mojo.

Saturday 22nd October 2016

Impressive first League win for the 2nd XI which will hopefully be the start of a run. Tough fixture for the 3s who were knocked out of the AFA Cup by an IBIS side many divisions higher in the League.

Saturday 15th October 2016

Hard fought cup tie at Tenisonians for the 1s ended in defeat and our 2s went down against a strong Norsemen team.  Victory for the 3s at previously unbeaten table-toppers Winchmore Hill to get their season truly underway.  Well done lads - bodes well.

Saturday 8th October 2016

Our poor run continued in front of our ex-Stationers as both 1st and 2nd XIs lost heavily in the League and AFA Cup respectively.  I hope the former players enjoyed themselves in the bar afterwards remembering their own glory days!

Saturday 1st October 2016

October kicked off in dismal form as all our teams were beaten.

Saturday 24th September 2016

Bad day at the office for our 3rd XI, who were up against a strong Winchmore Hill (100% record thus far in the League).  Reserves suffered similar fate v. Old Owens, going down 6-1 in the Old Boys Cup.

Saturday 17th September 2016

Great comeback by the 1st XI who found themselves 3-1 down at one stage against Carshalton.  The lads dug deep and came away with a deserved point in a 3-3 draw. The 2nd XI were involved in a tight match at Alexandra Park which ended 2-1 to the home side unfortunately.
