Old Stationers 5 vs Old Garchonians 5, Lost 2-1 (Away). We started the game with the return of 3 regulars back, with the team having more of a balance to it. We decided to go 4-5-1 in terms of formation with the players that we had for this week. Our plan was to get off to a solid start and not to concede in the first 20 minutes.Whatever was said before the kick just didn't seem to stay in our heads. 5th XI LOST 5-0 (Away) at Crouch End Vampires We started the day with a couple of no shows with Ed and David Campbell dropping out at the last minute. This left us with a bare 11. We decided to start with a 4-5-1 to keep things tight, but unfortunately that did not happen. With a number of our core regulars missing yet again we had to make do with the players we had on the day and some of them playing out of their regular positions. 5th XI v Alexandra Park 9s Lost 2-0 We started the game without our normal regular 11 with a few new faces coming in. Straight from the off the opposition broke with an attack creating a chance within the first few minutes,which basically set the tone of the game for the first half. We never really seemed to be at our best and we struggled to string passes together. It didnt really help when we didn't close down space and allow them to play. 20 mins in and they broke the deadlock with a long ball played over the left back and their winger played in a low cross for their forward to roll the ball past Karl.
